25 years on the Coast. Two generations of the Page family. One depot.
Acorn Furniture Removals started in 2001 with one truck on the NSW Central Coast. Twenty-five years later the trucks have multiplied, the team has grown, and the depot at Lake Munmorah has expanded — but the principle is the same: same family, same crew, every move.
Family-run, Coast-based
Acorn is owned and run by the Page family. Two generations of locals, all from the Coast, all on the trucks every week. The team that quotes your move is the team that does it — no rotating strangers, no subcontractors, no '1300' number that goes to a call centre.
When you ring Acorn, you get the family on the mobile. That's been the deal since 2001 and we don't plan on changing it.
The depot
Our trucks live at Lake Munmorah. Our climate-controlled storage is at Lake Munmorah. The Monday morning huddle is at Lake Munmorah. It's a real depot with real trucks — locals drive past it every day. Not a forwarded line in Sydney with a tradie van.
The 25-year asset
What 25 years buys you is institutional memory. We know which retirement villages have tight lift bookings (Bayside, Bupa Killarney Vale). We know which streets in Mosman have parking restrictions. We know which Coast suburbs flood. We know which days in December not to book your move on.
You can't get that from a removalist who's been around two years. We've been around twenty-five.
What 'family-owned' actually means here
Three things, practically:
- Same crew, every move. The team that quotes is the team that turns up. No rotating strangers in your kids' bedroom.
- One mobile, one team. No switchboard, no 1300 number. The number on the truck is the number that picks up.
- We take it personally. A bad review hurts because it's our family name. A good review goes on the kitchen wall at the depot. The Page family hears about both.
