How an interstate move works with Acorn

  1. Pack day. We arrive the day before transit, pack everything, label and inventory.
  2. Transit day. Drive between properties. Often overnight stop at Lake Munmorah depot if needed.
  3. Delivery day. Unload, light reassembly, walk-through. You sign off you’re happy.

For Sydney ↔ Coast, the whole move usually compresses into one day. For Brisbane / Melbourne / longer routes it’s a 2–3 day process with a transit night.

    Yes — Sydney → Coast and Coast → Sydney is one of our most-booked routes. Door-to-door fixed pricing including loading, transit and unloading. Storage available in our Lake Munmorah depot if your settlement and lease dates don't align.

  • Can you do Coast → Newcastle or Coast → interstate?

    Yes — we run regular jobs to Newcastle, the Hunter, Brisbane and Melbourne. Two-day move tolerance: pack day, transit day, delivery day. All-in fixed price.

  • What about insurance for the long haul?

    Public liability and goods-in-transit insurance is standard on every Acorn move including interstate. High-value items can be covered to higher limits — ask us.

  • Can you store our furniture between settlements?

    Yes. Our Lake Munmorah depot is climate-controlled. Itemised inventory + photos + insurance during the storage period.

  • How do you price interstate moves?

    Door-to-door fixed price after a 10-minute phone call or in-home estimate. No surprises mid-trip. We won't quote $4K and bill $8K.
