Who does the work

We’ve partnered with Universal Home Theatre, professional home theatre installers, to handle everything from simple soundbar installations through to full home theatre and cinema rooms. Acorn handles what we do best — careful handling, packing and transport of heavy, fragile gear — and coordinates the install so you’re not chasing a second company after the move.

What an install looks like

  1. Before the move — the existing setup is photographed and labelled, so every cable goes back where it came from.
  2. The build — TV or screen mounted, speakers placed, amp or soundbar connected, sources plugged in.
  3. The tidy — cables grouped and routed; concealed where the wall and your quote allow.
  4. The test — picture, sound, streaming and remotes working with you watching.

  • Can you move my existing home theatre and set it up at the new house?

    Yes — that's the core of it. We photograph and label the setup before disconnecting and pack the gear properly for the move, then our installation partner Universal Home Theatre rebuilds it at the new place: mounted, wired, connected and tested.

  • Who does the installation?

    Universal Home Theatre — a professional home theatre installation company we've partnered with. Acorn coordinates the move and the install, you get a clear quote before the work begins, and one point of contact from start to finish.

  • Do you install new home theatre gear too?

    Yes. If you've bought a new TV, soundbar or speaker package, we'll unbox, mount, position, wire and configure it — with your move or as a standalone visit.

  • Can you do a dedicated cinema room?

    Yes — screen and projector or large-format TV, surround speakers placed for the room, and the cabling run as tidily as the room allows. Tell us what gear you have in the quote form.

  • Will it all actually work before you leave?

    That's the standard — sources connected, sound coming from the right speakers, remotes paired, and you've seen it working before we're out the door.
