The problem with wall-mounted TVs and moving
Most moving checklists have a quiet landmine in them: “dismount all wall-mounted TVs before the removalists arrive.” So the most expensive, most fragile screen in the house gets taken off the wall by whoever owns a stud finder. Then at the new place it sits on the floor until an installer can fit you in.
We’d rather organise the whole thing. We handle the careful dismounting and transport, and we’ve partnered with Universal Home Theatre for the professional installation at the other end — one point of contact from start to finish.
What’s covered
- Dismount — TV off the wall, bracket off if it’s coming with you, wall plugs left tidy.
- Transit — wrapped and padded with the move, never loose in a ute.
- Remount — bracket into studs or appropriate fixings for the wall type, level, at the height you want.
- Connect — sources plugged in, cables tidied, channels and apps working before the installer leaves.
Part of our move in & move out setup services — bundle it with home theatre installation or new TV and wifi setup and one visit covers the lot.
