A wall-mounted TV is the one thing most removalists won't touch — you're left to take it down yourself before the move and find an installer after it. Acorn covers both ends: we dismount, wrap and move your TV as part of the move, then arrange professional remounting at the new place through our installation partner, Universal Home Theatre — or organise a standalone wall mount anywhere on the Central Coast.

The problem with wall-mounted TVs and moving

Most moving checklists have a quiet landmine in them: “dismount all wall-mounted TVs before the removalists arrive.” So the most expensive, most fragile screen in the house gets taken off the wall by whoever owns a stud finder. Then at the new place it sits on the floor until an installer can fit you in.

We’d rather organise the whole thing. We handle the careful dismounting and transport, and we’ve partnered with Universal Home Theatre for the professional installation at the other end — one point of contact from start to finish.

What’s covered

  • Dismount — TV off the wall, bracket off if it’s coming with you, wall plugs left tidy.
  • Transit — wrapped and padded with the move, never loose in a ute.
  • Remount — bracket into studs or appropriate fixings for the wall type, level, at the height you want.
  • Connect — sources plugged in, cables tidied, channels and apps working before the installer leaves.

TV Wall Mounting — frequently asked questions

  • Do you take the TV off the wall as part of the move?

    Yes. Tell us when you book and we'll dismount the TV (and the bracket if you're taking it), wrap it properly for transit, and move it with the rest of your furniture.

  • Can you mount the TV at the new house on the same day as the move?

    Where the schedule allows, yes — we coordinate the install with our partner Universal Home Theatre around your move date. For bigger setups we'll book the install visit within a few days of the move.

  • Do you supply the bracket?

    Either way — we can re-use your existing bracket or supply a new one suited to your TV size and wall type. We'll confirm it in the quote.

  • Do you mount TVs without a move?

    Yes — standalone TV mounting is available across the Central Coast. Use the quote form and tell us the TV size and wall type.

  • What about the cables?

    Connected, tidied and tested before we leave. If you want cables concealed in the wall, tell us up front and we'll include it in the quote where the wall allows it.
